The Latinx Law Students Association (LLSA) is a student organization composed of law students interested in issues affecting the Latinx community. We aim to create and cultivate an encouraging environment for current and prospective Latinx students through academic support, scholarship, community service and networking events.
We aim to serve Latinx law students on campus and to help the retention and success of these students. LLSA collaborates with the Admissions Office, DE&I Office, and other student groups to increase the enrollment of Latinx students. LLSA keeps members abreast of scholarships, Latino-centric events, potential employment opportunities and encourages members to become involved in public interest organizations that serve the Latinx community in Los Angeles. LLSA activities include speaker events with local law firms, Judges & Lawyers Nights (honoring USC Gould Latinx Alums) and other social and cultural events benefitting students and friends at USC Gould.
These events aim to help build community and familiarity among Latinx classmates. Our members have a diverse range of career interests: immigrant rights, corporate law, criminal law, immigration, rights for mentally disabled, civil rights, patent law, among others.
